Do you get a Medal or a Hiss???

In my years of rescue work, and with all the preaching I do on my web page week after week, it never fails to amaze me when people write to tell me, rather proudly, that they have allowed their cat to give birth to the "most adorable" kittens and what should they do now? I am NOT impressed. First of all I have never seen a kitten that was not adorable. What I have seen is kittens deformed, Queens dying giving birth and males spraying to mark their territory thus earning them a spot outside. This can be easily avoided. The answer is a simple surgery. Spay your females and neuter your males. If you trap a pregnant female spay her right away and spare her the ordeal of giving birth and the trauma the Kittens will very probably go through. As I stated earlier this year I have made a list of hero's and goats. Which are you? If you insist on telling me all about the cute little kittens your cat gave birth to you will find your name on my HISS list. If you have trapped or in any way saved a kitten you will be on my HERO list. Your choice.......IF you insist on writing you'll get a form letter back. PLEASE be sure, when you do write, to tell me exactly where the Mother came from.....
